Devil Inside Me by Swamp 'n' Roll Ambassadors

Dazu kommen drei Cover-Titel ("What Am I Gonna Do When the Money Runs Out?" von Man-Gitarrist Deke Leonard; "Drift Away", einst gesungen von Dobie Gray; "L'Amour Est Bleu" - hier instrumental - bekannt von so unterschiedlichen Interpreten wie Vicky Leandros und Jeff Beck...).

DEVIL INSIDE ME (Olaf Giebe)

YESTERDAY MY LIFE WAS EASY,
JUST LIKE IT OUGHT TO BE
YESTERDAY MY LIFE WAS EASY,
JUST LIKE IT OUGHT TO BE
THOSE LITTLE WORRIES
SEEMED BAD ENOUGH TO ME

A SINGLE DROP OF BLOOD,
WHAT A DIFFERENCE DID IT MAKE
A SINGLE DROP OF BLOOD,
WHAT A DIFFERENCE DID IT MAKE
WHEN THEY TOLD ME,
IT TURNED MY WORLD AROUND IN A SINGLE DAY

I‘LL NEVER BE ALONE,
EVEN IF THAT‘S WHAT I WANNA BE
IT WON‘T LEAVE ME ALONE,
EVEN IF THAT‘S WHAT I WANNA BE
,COS THEY TOLD ME THIS MORNING
I‘VE GOT THE DEVIL INSIDE ME

Well, here it is, and long enough it took since 2009‘s ADRENALINE. Many thanks to Karl, Dominik, and Fats for traveling to Düsseldorf on very short notice in order to record the basic tracks (some of them completely new to them), and the great job they did! Many thanks to Dieter and Ingo of DUESENBERG for the great STARPLAYER TV Outlaw, to Tom Stratmann for "What Am I Gonna Do...", and to Irene, my love and inspiration. And many thanks to Eric for his skill, patience and relentless energy in putting to harddisk (and, via Lorenz, to tape) our music in true and authentic, raw 70s sound and style. In order to preserve the freshness of performance, we accepted some „bum notes“ (in particular, in my guitar solos on Devil Inside Me - recorded live, first complete take - and Evil Woman), and hope you will accept them, too... So, power up your player, start up your engines, and have fun!
